Our vision is to be a community where you can EXPERIENCE God, relationships, and change. We really believe that most people are longing for this in life, and we are passionate about being a place and a people where this can be found.

The Quest Church is a community where you can explore faith and spirituality, and connect with God. The Quest Church is a community where new friendships are found and where relationships grow. The Quest Church is a community where change is possible – in ourselves, and in our community and world.

We find our purpose through worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism. In these 5 strategic elements we desire that people will know and experience the transforming power of the Gospel.

We have a casual “come as you are” dresscode, but make no mistake we are serious about theology, doctrine and loving God & people.

OUR VISION
First Baptist Church, led by the Spirit of Christ, will grow by becoming a more loving, accepting, and nurturing congregation.

The church will prayerfully focus its energies on reaching people in the Greater Augusta Area through inspirational worship services and a strong, relationship-building Bible study program.
We will broaden our ministries by involving our members in all missions.

Gospel transformation comes by knowing Jesus Christ personally and witnessing the evidences of his grace in our personal lives and the lives of others.

Encountering Christ, our identity is transformed at its core. We then live out the gospel in the context of community as we seek to build the body of Christ, the church. We seek to empower believers to serve the church and bless the city.

Sunday, April 11, 1915, will always be remembered at Broadway Baptist Church. It was on that day that a Sunday School class met for the first time in the dining room of the Sand Springs Hotel. Eventually this group of dedicated Christians would become Broadway Baptist Church

We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as being verbally inspired by God. They are the supreme and final authority by which all human opinions, creeds, or conduct shall be tried and judged.

We believe Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is both true God and true Man.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitute sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His blood shed on Calvary’s Cross.

We believe in water baptism. We follow the example of Jesus by being fully immersed in water. We also baptize according to Matthew 28:19: In the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ who has ascended into Heaven, and ever lives to intercede for us.
We believe in the rapture of the Church and the second coming of Jesus Christ.

We believe that all who have received by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord are born again of the Holy Spirit and have become children of God and members of the Body of Christ.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, a second experience subsequent to salvation, for believers who have already been born again. The baptism of the Holy Spirit anoints the child of God with power to witness, and supernatural strength to live the crucified life.

We believe in healing, deliverance, and prosperity for the whole man: spirit, soul, and body.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the manifestations or gifts of the Holy Spirit as taught in the Scriptures.

Church means worshipping God together, studying the Bible together, fixing our cars together, hiking together, eating together, playing together, praying together… enjoying the warmth of the Holy Spirit in all parts of our lives together, not just in appointed meeting times.

Reach:
We are committed to reaching out to our community and the CSRA through various programs and outreaches, but we also train our members with mission of “I Give Life,” so that wherever GNC is represented, people are reaching out to others.

Connect:
We are committed to connecting our members and attenders to each other.  We believe that the strongest connections between people happen when folks are in agreement and unity.  For this reason, we have created E.X.P.R.E.S.S groups, our small group ministry that meets monthly in homes throughout the CSRA.

Empower:
We are committed to empowering those who come to GNC to be champions for the cause of the kingdom, knowing who they are in Christ, what they have because of Christ, and what they can do through Christ.  We believe in the ministry of the believer and equipping people to do the works of Christ.  For this reason, we have created the School for Life, a Bible school for believers, that trains and equips people with the knowledge and experience they need to influence their world.  School for Life classes are free of charge and are held every Sunday morning at 9:30 am.

Serve:
We are committed to serving in this church.  The dictionary defines a minister as a “servant.”  Jesus illustrated this type of service in His ministry and we are called to serve others as well.  This involves serving in various ministries of the church as well as serving in other ways throughout our community.

Stevens Creek is a place where you can experience life and be reminded that you matter to God. Our hope is that life’s distractions will take a back seat, allowing you new spiritual insights and uplifting worship in your own personal and spiritual renewal.

If you are interested in exploring Christianity and experiencing spiritual growth at your own pace, we offer you opportunities in a small group setting which provide sound biblical instruction, promote daily application of God’s Word, and foster the building of close relationships through love and acceptance.
